Is it necessary for me to go get the bandage changed?

I had to get stitches in my chin they also put the little sterile strips over the stitches and a band aid. I don’t have insurance and they won’t me to come back the next day and get it changed and then three days later. I don’t want to have to pay so much money so should i just wait until the three days and then go. Do you think i can change the bandage myself but i only have band aid with antibiotic on them will it hurt my wound.

Well, if you are bandaging a minor wound you should change the bandage daily. For stitches you should try to change it yourself about every 2 days.
