use of poly vinyl alcohol in cobalt oxide coating?

I am trying to coat cobalt oxide on ITO glass slides. I am dip coating the slides in Cobalt(II) 2 – ethyl hexanoate in 65 wt % mineral spirits 1 ml + ethanol 6ml. But, the solution is too thin and I want to make it more visocus. So, I want to add poly vinyl alcohol. I don’t know how much I should add to the above solution. Can anybody help me please?

NOTE: After dip coating I bake the slides to get a cobalt oxide coating.

have you thought about spraying on the final solution onto the slides, much like a CAKE decorator sprays paint onto their cakes?
