Friday Himalaya
What do you know about the Himalaya Mountains?
I have a project due next Friday, and I need to know what food can I find there, which type of clothes should I wear to go there, which resources do I have to find water, and what are some of the places that can be my shelter, for example a cave. Please help me and try to answer before next week’s thursday. Thank you soooooooooooo much for your help guys!!!!
I was born there.. in that country..
The Himalaways are in Nepal.. north of India.. south asia
another name for those mountain ranges is Mt. Everest. mostly sherpa people live there.. “Sherpa”
they have sheeps and yaks and mostly wear wool clothing.. it can get very very clod.. in winter.. snow falls excessevily…
water is not a problem, since so much snow falls, there are always fresh water sources…
there is a little market place on the foothills of the himalaya mountains..it’ scalled “Namche Bazar.”
Since it’ s so cold.. that’s probably the last equipped settlement.. after that’s it’s all mountains.. and maybe a house her eand there but nothing more..
Even though that region is unsuitable for farming.. the rest of the country is very resourceful.. the soil is of high quility.. Agreeculture is the #1 source of income there.. Rice, Wheat, Corn and other whole grains are grown in the east..with a veriety of green vegetables..
Nepal is a small but beautiful country with breath taking beauty.. it’s cramped between china and india (two of the leading nations in asia) so it doesn’t get much publicity.. but it’s hundreds of years old tredition and culture makes the land rich.
Oh .. in the mountains. they drink yak milk.. yak is a kinda four leged animal.. just google it..
anyway.. good luck..
